DON'T WATCH THE CHART. RIDE IT.
You ride a motorcycle across terrain built from Bitcoin price data. Price up is a climb, price down is a descent, long wicks are launch ramps, big candles are kickers. Reach the finish line before you crash three times. Tricks are worth more than speed — a clean run with no flips will almost always lose to a rider who is flipping off every ramp.
| → D | Throttle. Hold it. The bike will not wheelie itself. |
| ← A | Brake. It scrubs speed but never stops you — the bike always rolls forward. |
| ↑ W | On the ground: jump. Tap it to hop a cactus or launch at a bird. In the air: rotate backwards (backflip). |
| ↓ S | On the ground: crouch. Hold it to duck under a bird. In the air: frontflip. |
| Z / X on the ground | Wheelie / stoppie — both still score while you hold them. |
| SPACE | Lightning Boost. Burns the blue bar. Charge it by landing tricks. |
| Z X C V B | Trick keys — hold one in the air. See the trick book. |
| Q | Use the item you are holding. Bananas drop behind you. |
| F | Switch view: 2D side ↔ rider POV. |
| H | Show / hide the on-screen control pads. |
| R | Restart the run. |
| ESC | Back to the menu. |
The control strip sits along the bottom of the screen on every device: brake and throttle bottom-left, lean back / lean forward / boost bottom-right. Tap them, click them, or ignore them and use the keys — the legend between the pads is the same mapping. H hides the pads if you want the full view, and you can set the default under ON-SCREEN CONTROLS on the TRACK tab.
Every rider starts with three lives.
Crash 1 → 2 lives · Crash 2 → 1 life · Crash 3 → game over.
A crash respawns you at the last checkpoint with your score intact, so a crash costs you
time and your combo, not your run. You crash by landing more than about 80° off the slope,
by putting the rider or the frame into the ground, or by falling off the world.
Match the angle of the ground you are about to hit. The bike auto-levels a little when you are not touching the lean keys, which is enough for small jumps but not for a flip — if you start a flip you have to finish it and straighten up yourself.
Hold a trick key in the air, pick the variant with ↑ or ↓, and let go before you land. Fifteen tricks live on the five keys. The other ten are chords: hold two trick keys at once. While a trick key is held the lean keys stop rotating the bike, so a flip and a body trick are separate decisions — and if you are still hanging off the machine when the wheels touch down, you crash.

Chain the right tricks inside one jump and the whole line pays a bonus on top: THE FULL SEND (Special Flip + Volt, 6,000) · BODY LANGUAGE (Rock Solid + Dead Body + Holy Grab, 5,000) · BIKE THIEF (Bike Flip + Double Grab, 4,400) · STRETCH LIMO (Tsunami + Kiss of Death + Ruler, 4,200) · WHIP SET, SUPERMAN SHOW, SPIN CYCLE, CALIFORNIA DREAM, COUCH POTATO and HANDS OFF. Ten in all.
Hold longer for more points, and chain several in one jump — a Flair into a Nac-Nac into a Kiss of Death all score on the same landing. The Special Flip (rider backflips while the bike stays level) is the biggest single trick in the game at 3,000 base. Doubles and triples on flips pay squared: a triple backflip is 7,200 before your multiplier.
| WHEELIE | Front wheel up while moving. Scores continuously. |
| STOPPIE | Rear wheel up while moving. Scores slightly more. |
| BIG AIR | Over 0.6s of hangtime. |
| 180 → 1080 | Partial rotations, rounded to the nearest half turn. |
| BACKFLIP | A full backwards rotation. 800 points, and it squares: a double is 3,200, a triple is 7,200. |
| TWIST | Flair, Volt and California Roll add a horizontal twist — scored on top. |
| FRONTFLIP | Same, rotating forwards. Much harder off an upslope. |
| PERFECT LANDING | Touch down within 15° of the slope. +300. |
Every trick you land inside a 3 second window raises your combo multiplier, up to x10, and the multiplier applies to everything you score while it is live. Crashing resets it to x1. This is where the big scores come from — a x8 combo chain across a ramp section is worth more than the entire rest of the course.
Every course has 5–10 cacti — hop them with ↑.
Clipping one spins you out, kills your combo and costs 500 points.
Birds launch off the horizon straight at your chest. Duck under with
↓, jump clean over with ↑, or —
for 1,500 points and a bounce — come down on top of one. Landing on a bird is worth
far more than avoiding it.
Ride through a ? box to get an item and press Q to use it: ⚡ boost, 🟠 shield, 🚀 bull rocket, 🧲 sat magnet, or a 🛢️ oil slick which you drop behind you — in multiplayer everyone else sees it on their track. Hitting one spins you out: you lose your combo and most of your speed, but not a life. Sats are scattered along the track and arc over every jump; each one scores, they make you faster up to +20%, and 100 sats is a free life.
Lose all three lives and you get a revive prompt with a six second countdown — take it and you restart at the last checkpoint with your run intact for 25% of your score. Three revives per run. You never start the course over.
| ⚡ | Lightning Boost — refills the boost bar. |
| 🟠 | Bitcoin Shield — absorbs one crash, lasts 14s. |
| 🚀 | Bull Run — instant speed injection. |
| 🐻 | Bear Trap — halves your speed. Scores points for surviving it. |
| 💎 | Satoshi Multiplier — 1,200 points and a combo step. |
All power-ups are earned on the track. Nothing in this game is purchasable and nothing about your bike or your wallet makes you faster.
SPRINT ≈ 3 minutes — 725 candles. Score attack, one clean line.
CLASSIC ≈ 5 minutes — 1,265 candles. The standard race.
ENDURANCE ≈ 10 minutes — 2,620 candles. Still three lives. Survival matters more
than style.
Times assume a rider who does not crash — every crash adds the ride back to the checkpoint.
Leaderboards are kept per course and per length, so a sprint time never competes
with an endurance time.
QUICK RACE drops you into any open room. CREATE ROOM gives you a 4-letter code to share. The host picks the course, the length and the start; the server sends everyone the same seed so every rider gets byte-identical terrain. You will see rivals as ghost riders on your track, their pips on your progress bar and live standings top-right.
2D SIDE is the arcade view — the whole chart scrolls past you.
RIDER POV puts you on the bars: the track becomes a road through a canyon of
candlestick pillars, green on green days, red on red days. Same physics, same course,
same leaderboard — just a different camera on the same world.
Courses marked REAL are built from actual exchange OHLC candles. Courses marked SIMULATED are generated from a seeded volatility model shaped to resemble the event — they are a fair ride but they are not history, and the game says so rather than pretending otherwise.
To make every course real, run node tools/fetch-chart-data.js once. It downloads daily/hourly candles from Binance (2017→) and Bitstamp (2011→), writes public/chartdata.json, and prints a table you can check. Then node test/verify-charts.js fact-checks that file against known Bitcoin history — the COVID crash day, the FTX collapse window, each halving date, the 2017 and 2024 breakouts — and fails loudly if anything does not match.
Donations fund development, servers, infrastructure and community growth. Separate from prize pools.
Optional Bitcoin & Lightning integration, prize pools and the 2% platform fee are stubbed in CONFIG and disabled by default pending legal review. The game is fully playable with no wallet.
RESTART AT THE LAST CHECKPOINT — KEEP YOUR RUN
Reviving costs 25% of your score.
